We designed our farm to be in compliance with AWA’s rigorous standards from day one, because we believe livestock shouldn’t be treated any other way. Certified Animal Welfare Approved by AGW is the only label that guarantees animals are raised outdoors on pasture or range for their entire lives on an independent farm using truly sustainable, high-welfare farming practices. It is the only label in the U.S. to require audited, high-welfare production, transport and slaughter practices.

MoonLight Farm is another outstanding Animal Welfare Approved farm, just down the road from us in Sweet Home! We are delighted to offer their grass-fed lamb and beef to our Summer CSA members in 2020. Fellow members of the Oregon Pasture Network, Bryan and Mary Moon raise Katahdin sheep and Dexter cattle, plus plenty of other high quality farm foods.

We’re partnering with Little Wings to offer our pasture-raised CSA shares to their cropshare members! These folks grow fruits, berries, vegetables and cut flowers on their 5-acre farm near the Willamette River. They’re absolute powerhouses, and of course they’re certified organic.

Host of our collaborative 2019 CSA! Nestled along the Mohawk River just down the road from our place, Moondog’s is growing certified organic veggies, fruits, and seed crops plus fermenting garlic scape relish and spicy chili-mash to preserve the season (and your gut).

We love our neighbors. Adaptive Seeds is a certified organic seed company offering rare and resilient open pollinated seeds consciously stewarded to excel in the PNW and similar short season climes. They give us their cull crops and super ripe vegetables after they process for seed stock. Our pigs are lucky to live next to so many squishy treats.

Scratch and Peck Feeds was the first organic chicken feed manufacturer in North America to receive the official badges of USDA Certified Organic and Non-GMO Verified. They envision a world where organic and whole foods are found on every table, organic culture is dominant, animals are humanely raised, and people understand that you are what your animals eat.

Bline is a bike-powered delivery service in Portland. We partner with them to offer sustainable CSA drop-off right to your door. Bike Power is People Power! If you live in Portland and would like to join our Pastured CSA but don’t see a convenient pick up location near you, ask about becoming a dropsite host or sign up for home delivery from Bline.

Willamette Farm & Food Coalition facilitates and supports the development of a secure, sustainable, and inclusive food system in Lane County, Oregon. They fund the SNAP matching program ‘Double Up Food Bucks’ at seven local farmers markets, publish the much loved Locally Grown Guide, and host the annual bulk buying Fill Your Pantry event in Eugene each Fall. Kait served as Board President of this organization for several years.
